During the last 23 years Magid have obtained various types of legal experiences in different industries while working in different jurisdictions. He has an excellent proven track record in negotiation and closure skills, decision making, advocacy and team leading skills.

Magid has obtained his LL. B. Degree from Cairo University in 1985, and completed his Master’s Degree in International Law at Oxford Brookes University, U.K. in 2006. He Worked as an attorney at Abulwahab M. Abulwahab Law Office in Sudan, where he concentrated on Civil, Criminal and Shari’a proceedings, and thereafter, at Abdulrahman Alzahrany Law Office in Riyadh, specializing in commercial and corporate law. He also joined Arthur & Andersen Co. in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for five years (1995-2000) as a Legal Advisor, providing corporate legal advice to various international companies, and became a partner at Saleh Salman Intellectual Property Office in Dubai, U.A.E. (2001-2004), where he worked intensively on trademark Intellectual Property (IP) protection laws. He joined The Law Firm of Salah Al-Hejailan (LFSH) in January 1, 2008.

During the last seven years that Magid has spent with LFSH, he has had great exposure to clients coming from different jurisdictions. Below are an example of some of the clients that Magid have advised:

  • Advising a major Saudi banking firm, in coordination with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, on the registering of their Master Aircraft Portfolio Pledges and aircrafts Mortgage and Security Agreements with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the Agreements related to the Muarabaha Financing Agreement signed with Saudi Airlines Cooperation in connection with the purchase of new aircrafts with the sum of Saudi Riyals (7,200, 000,000).
  • Advising a leading European defence, security and aerospace company on issues relating to their Saudi joint ventures, including but not limited to ownership, use and exploitation of Intellectual Property developed by local employees and on specific and general issues relating to theSaudi Arabian Agency Laws in relation to defence and security armaments and other activities of their Saudi entities.
  • Advising a major GCC cement manufacturer on the acquisition of 50% of its shares by a leading French industrial company and the subsequent proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO), by preparing the legal due diligence, the Prospectus and all the other relevant documents required by the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA).
  • Advising leading provider of luxury hotels and resorts on their project in Makkah which included, among other things, obtaining a time share activity license from the Supreme Commission of Tourism in Saudi Arabia, and preparation of their time share agreements signed with the customers.
  • Advising a leading Saudi real estate developer on their project in Makkah. This included the preparation of legal due diligence, various legal opinions requested by the financing institutions of the project and verification of all title deeds related to the project.
