Rodger is based in the Al Khobar office of LFSH, providing a wide range of corporate, commercial and finance legal advisory services to Saudi and international clients.

Rodger’s experience spans 32+ years of corporate/commercial transactional work, including banking and finance, M&A, corporate real estate, funds, public offers, joint ventures, corporate finance, privatisations,  competition law, construction contracts, professional appointments, risk and compliance,  commercial agreements and cross-border transactions. He has extensive international transactional and project experience covering UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Rodger graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1982 with an LLB (Hons) and qualified as a solicitor in Scotland in 1983.

  • Lead advisor to various Korean and Chinese EPC contractors on various construction contract issues on projects throughout KSA and involving various counterparties, including Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Interior, Saudi Stock Exchange, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Sadara, etc.
  • KSA co-counsel on refinancing of $200m Murabaha facility issued to a Bahrain oil and gas services company with KSA obligors.
  • Lead advisor to leading Bahrain Islamic bank on $25m Murabaha facility.
  • Lead Advisor to a major Saudi bank on a SAR604m Murabaha Financing for acquisition of up to 6 offshore support vessels.
  • Lead advisor to a major Saudi bank on comprehensive review and restructuring of conventional and Islamic facility letters, master terms, security documents and other supporting documents.
  • KSA counsel to a major Omani bank on USD215m revolving facility.
  • KSA counsel to acquisition vehicle on SAR600m Murabaha financing facility.
